I’m Back!

I’m back! Or I should rather say “My website is back!” Due to some problems with hosting service, my website had been down for….um ….over a week. And I’ve become addicted to my new shiny, 3DS, so I haven’t written anything on tumblr, LOL.

Also, my PC now has graphic card problem. My PC will randomly shut down with black screen, having a loud scary fan noise, when there is some strain in graphic display. That is, for example, when I process a lot of huge images in Photoshop or when I play FFXIV. Lately, it’s been so bad that I couldn’t even log in to the game. As soon as the “loading” screen was disappearing, and right before I even see the inn room or my own character, my PC screen would go black and shut down with loud fan noise. On Friday, this thing went on repeatedly for 5 teims until I gave up trying to log in. I’ll have to go out and buy a new display adapter soon. :(

Yesterday, however, I tried my luck and could load FFXIV without problem. So I sneaked around to do parts of the Valentione’s quests. ^^ I still need a Bitter Chocolate to trade with the NPC for the last piece of event equipment, though.

At the moment, I don’t dare to go into any dungeon or raid, because my graphic card seems to be unable to endure the heavy load of graphic. I don’t want it to permanently die on me while I still haven’t got a chance to buy a new one.

I’m alive and well

Hi, all. Just a quick post to let you know that I am still alive and well. Been a bit busy going to places in Eorzea and hanging out with friends and stuff, you know.

I’ve also finished my fishing log in the Black Shroud as well as Mor Dhona (since last week, eeeeep!) I will get around to posting the fishing map and fish list soon.

Fleece Farming, Again

Suppose there are 8 Karakuls at a farm, and you get there when it had no one else. You start killing them one by one. Suppose you can kill as many as 4 Karakuls before they start to repop. You may find any of these situations when someone else arrives:

– They kill the other 4 Karakuls in each round of respawn cycle without even trying to snatch your half of the mobs.

– They leave after killing a few Karakuls, for whatever reason.

– They obviously intentionally leave because they don’t want to seem like asshole.

– They try to compete by trying to claim Karakuls as fast as they can, as  many as they can, even the one that pops right on your character.

– They try to compete by claiming as many Karakuls as they can, plus trying exceptionally hard to not letting you get ANY of the Karakuls.

I have experienced all of these, either when I farmed Karakuls as WHM50 and as ACN/SMN 38 to 41. People are indeed interesting. ^_^

RMT Tell : Follow-up

Remember my post about getting an RMT tell? Haha. Now, this announcement is making me happy. 

Having confirmed in-game advertisements for RMT* sites, we have taken the following actions to address this issue.
* RMT (Real Money Trade) is the selling of account or game data for currency in the real world.

Period: Aug. 24, 2013 to Sep. 5, 2013
-Accounts receiving disciplinary action for RMT advertisement: 518 Accounts -Action Details: Permanent ban from FINAL FANTASY XIV

In addition to chat filters, we will continue to address RMT activity through cooperation with our GM teams and STF (Special Task Force). If you are solicited by an RMT company in-game, please do not respond.

And yes they also confirmed that among those, there are also accounts of legit players who got hacked. This just makes me hate RMT even more. They are ruining the fun of us players not just by barging into our game, but also stealing people’s accounts. Just disgusting.
But oops at “please do not respond” LOL. I sometimes cursed back at them just to manage my anger. Have to stop doing that hahaha.

New Blog

In order to commemorate the grand opening of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn (or FFXIVARR or FFXIV 2.0,) I decided to start a new blog.

No, not really! Simply because my old blog has been long-running and was used since FFXI, making the entries and files all very messy, I wanted to tidy up my blog to make it easier to navigate. So, I decided to shift to write about FFXIV: ARR in a new blog. I will leave all the old entries in the old blog like that, not deleting them, just won’t add new entries anymore.

ใช่ซะที่ไหน! จริง ๆ คือบล็อกเก่ามันใช้มานานมาก ๆ แล้ว และเขียนมาตั้งแต่สมัยไฟนอล 11 ทั้งข้อความทั้งรูปภาพ ก็เลยค่อนข้างจะผสมปนเปกันจนยุ่งเหยิง ไร้ระเบียบวินัยในชีวิต ตอนนี้เกิดอยากทำให้มันเรียบร้อยเป็นระบบหน่อย จะได้หาอะไรอ่านได้ง่าย ๆ ก็เลยทำบล็อกใหม่ขึ้นมาค่ะ ส่วนบล็อกเก่าก็ยังคงเก็บไว้แบบนั้นต่อไป ไม่ลบ แต่ก็จะไม่เขียนต่อ

I’m now still tweaking (read: fumbling with) my blog’s appearance, theme and stuff. It will take a while, as I lack in skills. So, please be patient.
